Ashtanga Yoga Workshop with Peter Sanson, May 29 - June 1, 2025
Peter Sanson is returning to Switzerland to teach a Workshop at our Shala from May 29th until June 1st (Thursday to Sunday).
Peter is one of those teachers that cannot be found on the social media, but you will know about him through his students. His workshops are always filled with people from all over the World who follow him because of his unique way of teaching.
Peter is one of the most experienced teachers in our community with over 40 years of Ashtanga yoga practice and over 30 years of teaching experience, rooted in the traditional lineage of Ashtanga yoga.
Peter is one of the few senior certified teachers in the World who has been certified by Guruji Pattabhi Jois to teach 4th series and has been awarded placement on Sharath Jois' honorary teacher list.
When I met Peter in 2012, I realized his teaching was very special: simple and clear, showing what is essential to each student in that particular moment and guiding people to a more subtle state of awareness. It was very inspiring and felt like a relief from external self-imposed pressure, leaving out the thoughts about the future and the past, inviting to look within. His teachings resonated deep and guided me in my practice for years through different phases until today. My personal experience of learning with Peter was building a long-lasting and healthier relationship with practice and especially turning my practice into a sensitive ritual of self-care.
Peter views each student as unique and approaches the teaching of Ashtanga as a form of physical therapy. Peter travels yearly to Mysore until today and is one of the most loved teachers in our community. If you haven't met Peter yet, come to experience his teachings with us.
Peter is originally from New Zealand and comes to Zürich as part of his European tour.
All students from absolute beginners to advanced practitioners are welcome.
